Scrub Park

Scrub ParkLake June in Winter Scrub State Park is located about 2 miles north west of Downtown Lake Placid and was opened to the public in 1999.

This park protects sand scrub, one of Florida’s most endangered natural communities.  The park is full of virtually unaltered flora and fauna and is a great place to hike and take in the beauty of nature.

The park has white sand fire lanes for hikers as well as a half mile nature trail. In addition to hiking, visitors can also canoe or kayak on Lake June or fish from lakeshore.
